Wilderness

Wilderness. If you will stay close to nature, to its simplicity, to the small things hardly noticeable, those things can unexpectedly become great and immeasurable.

Rainer Maria Rilke

Sometimes, I sit for a while on the trunk of a fallen tree to slow down. Then I manage to ‘see’ better. then I let my eyes glide over the trunk, I watch for irregularities, colour differences, spots and dots.

If I then look through a macro lens or a magnifying glass, there is an immense world to be discovered there, a wilderness pure and simple, that I can get lost in.
